Accountancy software for your firm: meet Open Accountancy Practice

About

Testing accounting agents. Building accountancy software.

Open Accountancy and Open Accountancy Practice have distinct roles: evaluate the agent, then build useful software for the practice.

But the future of accounting cannot be built from a technology lab alone. It has to be built alongside the firms, accountants and workflows that make the profession work.

Open Accountancy Practice is the accountancy software we are building with partner firms.

Built by General Intelligence Holdings, Open Accountancy is a synthetic accounting firm for testing agents. The public environment now includes seven prepared UK and US workflows.

Through Open Accountancy Practice, we are selecting UK and US partners to develop practical accountancy workflows. Each private pilot begins with the actual workflow, the necessary access and agreed human review.

A quiet professional office set for collaborative accounting work

What we believe

Technology should make the profession more capable, not less accountable.

01

Work should be visible.

Agents should show the evidence and reasoning behind their work, not just produce an answer.

02

Judgement should stay human.

Where professional judgement, review and sign-off are required, the platform should make that unmistakable.

03

Claims should be measured.

Accounting AI should be evaluated against realistic work before it is trusted in real firms.
